Tharl Racers of Gor: Schedule Leagues Results Stats Information

Racing Guidelines (updated Jan 2026)

Trophies and Prizes: The three highest scoring racers in each league (determined by the “Top 3” column) will receive a magnificent trophy and a linden purse. In the event of ties, multiple trophies and purses will be awarded.

Active Status: There is a qualifying process to make the scoring system fairer for racers that cannot race in every event in a month. A racer must race in at least 3 races during the month to be considered “Active”. The points for the best three races (“Top 3”) will be used to qualify for promotion and ranking. Therefore, no racer is considered active until they have participated in three races for the month. Participation in a race requires that the racer show up and start in at least one League Race for that day. A racer who starts a race, but is disqualified or does not finish, will still receive credit for participation in that race, even if the race points earned is 0.

A racer who does not start any race for an entire month, without notification in advance, will be dropped from the league rosters, and if returning to races, will begin in D League.

Leave of Absence: Leave of absence is no longer applicable.

League Promotions and Demotions: We have four leagues active in the Tharl Racers of Gor Grand Circuit Races. A and B and C leagues are currently maintained at 7 racers per league. The D League is open to everyone. New Racers must register in the D League in order to compete. The Leagues are updated every month. The 2 active racers with the Highest Sum of Points for 3 Racing Days for the Month (“Top 3” column in Stats) in League B and C are usually promoted to the next League up, and the 2 racers with the lowest “Top 3” points for the previous month in Leagues A and B are usually relegated to the next League down. All racers who did not achieve active status will be relegated down to the next league, and the lower league will be allowed more promotions to provide for the vacancies if necessary to maintain 7 racers in the league. Other exceptions may occur when there is a need to redistribute the leagues.

Handling of Ties: In the event of a tie for advancement or relegation, the tie will be broken by the following process.

1) Top 4 and Top 5: If two racers are tied in the top 3 races, then the racer with the highest top 4 score will win the tie. If both racers are still tied, then the racer with the highest top 5 score will win the tie. (a racer not having raced in 4 or 5 races will have a zero-score for these tests).

2) Attendance: If process 1 does not break the tie, then the racer who raced the most races in the month would advance.

3) Runoff: If Process 1 and 2 did not break the tie, there would be a runoff on the last day of racing. If one of the racers were unavailable to run a one lap race on that day, the other racer would advance.

4) If the tie involves more than one person, once a racer is eliminated from advancement, they are not considered again in the process.

Modifying Tracks: Tracks may not be altered the week (7 days) before a race. A new track may not be altered after the initial vote until the first race on that track without the racers being notified. Any major alteration of a racing track (i.e. the change of a normal racing line) must be sent to hips so that a notice can be sent out. A vote may be needed if the track is significantly changed.

Use of Alts: Using an alt to race under two names in the same month is prohibited and is grounds for banishment from racing. If a racer must change display name or change to a different account for racing, this should be discussed with the TRG staff in advance so that the name may be transferred to the new name on the TRG records. Racers may not, under any circumstance, race as another racer. This is considered cheating and will result in banishment from the Racing Circuit. To be clear, you may not enter Secondlife as another racer to help them gain points in their racing score. Also, the use of AI or any other alternate coded configuration is also illegal. The use of any enhancement that improves a racer’s performance artificially is prohibited.

When a league has only 1 racer show up:

If only one racer shows up for any League, that racer will be awarded the full 15 points for the day, so long as they complete each race in their “substitute” races. The racer will be assigned a gate in the division races for the next higher League, or, if there is no room at the gate for this racer, an exhibition race will be held in each of the three divisions with volunteers from other leagues. If the racer races in the higher league races, results for the race will be reported in the final results, but the finish placement in website stats will reflect only the racers belonging in that league.

Tharlarion Divisions

***The Division Improvement Points remain the same for all Leagues.
Div 1 No more than 12 (Level 9) Improvement points (Speed+Jump+Turn) Suggested: 10-1-1
Div 2 No more than 15 (Level 12) Improvement points (Speed+Jump+Turn) Suggested: 13-1-1
Div 3 No more than 18 (Level 15) Improvement points (Speed+Jump+Turn) Suggested: 16-1-1 or 15-2-1
Open Division no more then 23 (Level 20) Improvement points (Speed+Jump+Turn) Suggested 21-1-1 or 20-2-1

A racer having a higher level of training than 9, 12, 15, or 20 (by division) is okay to race as long as no more than the maximum improvement points have been assigned. For example, a level 15 tharlarion can race as a Div 1 so long as only 12 improvement points have been applied.

Racer Stats

The League races are free to enter.  Individual racer prizes are Trophies for First, Second and Third Places available for 0 $L perchase at the Rock Run Track..
Racers accumulate point totals for racing days.

These totals are summed by Racing Day. The three highest racing day totals are summed to determine their place in the League. First, Second, and Third personalized trophies and purses will be awarded to Top Monthly Racers in each League at the Monthly Meeting in the following month.

****************Penalty for Over Scripted Racers********************
The TRG Script limits for racers is: No more than 50 scripts, >2% and >3000.
Racers who exceed these limits will be warned and given a chance to drop below our limits BEFORE THE RACE FORM IS ISSUED.
Racers who do not remove excessive scripts will be penalized 50% of their racing points for the day.

*********************Additional Races ********************
All of the additional races use the same Division Improvement Point allocations unless otherwise noted.

*********************Blood Bath ********************
Open to the first 10 riders who register. If 16 or MORE racers register, the Blood Bath will be split into 2 races. If 24 or more racers register, the Blood Bath will be split into 3 races. These are the first races on any of our Grand Circuit Race days. Division 2 tharlarions are used, for 2 or 3 laps. The top 4 placers in each race will get a G&S Gold Chest. This all out race-fest gets the blood going.

*********************Open Division ********************
This race features tharlarions who have been leveled between levels 16-20. It takes 6 days of riding a tharlarion 24 hours to get it to this level. Do not hesitate to enter this race just because you don’t have a level 20, at this higher level, allocation of points and the skill of the rider are paramount. This race DOES NOT count for top rider awards. The prize is BOOZE. There is no entrance fee. It is usually the last race of the racing day.

*********************Zombie Race ********************
These are dead V.1 tharlarions who have NOT been divested. These Tharlarions may be ridden but they are all black and do not show legs moving. Additionally, they turn badly and cannot reset their scripts by walking, Some of our long-time racers still have some of these old tharlarions. The Zombie Race is usually held around Halloween or October 31.

Corrected and revised to reflect current racing parameters as of 7 Jan 2026.
